Only two years after this album she released two more EP in the year 2017. They were Its All Your Fault: Part one and two. Even there had moderate success for the singles I Got You and The Way I Are. She has also had successful collaborations with names like David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, and also Afrojack. These were for the songs Hey Mama, Me, Myself and I, and many more. Rexha was born on the 30th of August, 1989, in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. Her parents were ethnic Albanian parents. Rehxa’s father, Flamur Rexha migrated to the U.S at the age of 21 from Macedonia. Her mother Bukurije Rehxa was born in an Albanian family and has the Gostivar, North Macedonian roots. Her name Blate comes from the Albanian word blete which means bee. Rexha’s parents used to call her Bebe, which is a short form for her name. She moved with her family to nearby Staten Island when she was only six. As a child, she learned trumpet and taught herself how to play the piano. She attended the Tottenville High School on Staten Island, and in her school days, she took part in a number of musicals. She was also a part of the school’s choir group. After she joined that choir group, she realized that her voice was a coloratura soprano which is a kind of operatic sound. When she was a teenager, she submitted a song to be performed at the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences’ annual “Grammy Day” event. The song earned the “Best Teen Songwriter” award. In the competition, there were more than 700 other entries. After which she signed a contract with the talent scout Samantha Cox. She’s the one who gave her the idea to join songwriting classes in Manhattan.
