Jupiter’s Legacy Ending Explained

The last episode of the season reveals the true villain of the show. We all saw it coming. However, didn’t we? It was Brainwave, Sheldon/The Utopian’s brother. We get the hints early on in the show, with episode 1 showing the rift between him and his family. He also shows his wish to participate in global and political events across the world. He wants to lead the Union at all costs. We see in the beginning his contention against his brother’s rigid “no killing” code. That code, as he says, has deprived them of taking part in major global crises and avert them. But while the villains of the 1930s were “black and white,” the villainy in the 2020s has become subtle and embedded in governmental and societal machinations. Throughout season 1, he has been manipulating the events behind the scenes. Brainwave catalyzes Paragon’s swerve from his father’s code. He was also the one who cloned Blackstar and sent him after the Union. It was him who let the real Blackstar break out of his cell, not Skyfox, a former member of the Union. The viewers and the characters all see how the former Union member and supervillain Skyfox does the villainous acts. But as it turns out, it was a simulation created by Brainwave. He even creates a simulation of Skyfox when they probe into Blackstar’s dead clone’s mind. It was all to convince Lady Liberty that Skyfox is the evil mastermind. And he’s successful at that too. Nobody suspects Brainwave. Well, one does suspect him and then also discover the truth — his daughter Raikou. However, before she can do anything, Brainwave slits her throat, killing her. This goes to show the vicious lengths he’s prepared to go to.

What’s the Reason Behind The Union’s Superpowers?

How did they gain their superpowers is a question that’s rattled the viewers. And there are still clouds over the answer. All we know is that they got their superpowers from aliens. They all travel to a mysterious island, where they eventually get transported to a different realm. While in this other realm, every member of the team sees a dead person that they want to revive. And late on, we see them just flying around like it’s nothing. It’s certainly aliens, like in the comics, who assign the superpowers to them. However, it’s still unclear as to why they assigned them the superpowers to who they really are? Well, it seems we’d have to find that one out in the next season if that gets the green light.
